Stelio

Stelio is the father of a very dear friend of mine. It came to my attention not that long ago that he was very ill. Being in his 90th year any illness can be life threatening to him. I ask as a personal favor to me that you offer a prayer or send some form of positive energy his way. I thank you in advance for doing so. He is a Roman Catholic of the kind that God no longer makes and is much beloved by his family and friends. I say the following prayer every day.

“God our Father, your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brother. May all who suffer pain, illness, or disease realize that they have been chosen to be saints and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.”

“Father in heaven, grant Stelio comfort in his suffering. Give him courage when afraid, patience when afflicted, hope when dejected, and when alone assure him of the prayerful support of your holy people. We ask this through Christ our Lord.”
